Melinda Witter interview from Sonic Healing, Meet the Masters Video Course

In this series we will be hearing interviews with the sound healing pioneers who are featured on our SONIC HEALING MEET THE MASTERS VIDEO COURSE. This one is from Session 3, Rhythms of Health.

Melinda Witter is a professional trainer and practitioner of conflict mitigation, community and human development. Her specialty focuses on conflict analysis and peace building initiatives, community development, training and education. She is deeply familiar with the dynamics of the Middle East region, with 12 years of ethnic and religious conflict resolution, tribal mediation, civil society, conflict analysis, and cross-cultural communications including use of music and cultural art exchange in Iraq and Afghanistan. She is a certified spiritual mentor, teacher of mediation, and she is working on her PhD with the focus of Spirituality in Peacebuilding. Melinda tells her courageous story of using percussion workshops in Iraq to bring opposing groups together.

Christine Stevens interview from Sonic Healing Video Course

In this series you will hear interviews from our SONIC HEALING MEET THE MASTERS VIDEO COURSE. This podcast is from Session 3: Rhythms for Health featuring our conversation with Christine Stevens. She holds Masters degrees in both social work and music therapy and is author of Music Medicine, The Healing Drum Kit and The Art and Heart of Drum Circles. As a consultant to the Remo Drums program HealthRHYTHMS and through her organization, UpBeat Drum Circles, Christine has facilitated drum groups internationally working with Fortune 500 companies, survivors of Katrina, and students at Ground Zero. More recently, she facilitated drum workshops in northern Iraq, bringing together groups long considered to be enemies in a spirit of harmony and cooperation.
